October Teacher Appreciation Idea

I'm heading up staff appreciation at our new school this year.  Because we're a new school with limited funds, we needed to be a little creative with our first staff appreciation thing.  We're trying to do something each month & we came up with something easy & cheap for October - DIY Carmel apples!  I was able to do all 80 staff members for about $30 with the help of our local McDonalds!  Yeah!  I think they turned out pretty cute too!  We were also able to get some free appetizer cards from one of the local restaurant managers, so we added a few stickers to the M&M packs for the teachers to find.  Those finding the sticker will get one of the free appetizers.  So, here's the finished product:

What you'll need:

1 apple
indivdual packages of your favorite candies and/or nuts
caramel sauce (we got ours donated by McDonald's)
goodie bags (I picked 25 for $1 at Dollar tree)

We tied the goodie bags with curling ribbon & attached this poem to it:

This is no trick, just a simple treat.
A little healthy and a little sweet.

Just relax a bit and take a seat
Because we know your job is no small feat.
Thanks for the smiles for each person you meet!
We hope you like caramel apples, they’re yummy to eat!
